Through Fogg & Wood DU finds way to victory in DU/CU Cup!
From a combined fifty teams from the University of Colorado Law School and the University of Denver’s Sturm College of Law, DU 1L’s Jim Fogg and Andrew Wood won the presitgious annual cross-town Cup — keeping at DU for a third year in a row.
The DU/CU Cup is the premier competition for 1L’s from DU and CU, bringing teams of two attorneys and witnesses together in a mock trial competition. 24 teams from DU competed in the school-wide runoff held on February 19th, with the top 14 teams advancing to compete against the best 14 teams from CU’s field of competitors.
The final 28 between CU and DU competed in two preliminary rounds and a quarterfinal on Saturday, February 25th, with the semi-final and final rounds held on Sunday, February 26th. Teams were judged by area practitioners and given detailed feedback about their performances. The final round pitted the best CU team against the best DU team, ultimately crowning Fogg & Wood as champions.
